Much Calmer...

Okay, So....Friday I was a bit upset about the prognosis at the doc's office and kinda was a little crazy with a ranting blog. View my last post if you must. I just wanted to thank everyone for their concern and prayers. I am much calmer this weekend.

Really, things are not that bad. They could always be worse. Sometimes, if even for the briefest of moments, I tend to forget that I am not the only person with problems in the world. Sometimes I just feel so frustrated like my problems are the worse around...How prideful really. By no means do I feel that way. God is teaching me to snap out of it and remember it could always be worse.

I have been studying Esther in the bible and the underlying theme is God has put us in the place we are in for such a time as this...It got me thinking. I can see the good in all this craziness with my health. Without health problems I would not be able to relate to those I am working with and trying to reach out to with Anthem of Hope.

I feel like God has placed me in this frustrating situation for a reason. As always I have no idea why but I am learning that I am not the only person struggling. I am not the only person with their share of problems and struggles. I want to be someone who can reach out to others despite the mess of my own life.

I pray for that today...

Going Live

This past weekend was great! I was in New Jersey for the Anthem of Hope Website Release Party. The website www.anthemofhope.com goes live on April 1. We are all looking forward to it. Please take a minute to review the site. Leave a comment and let me know what you think. God is doing some amazing things in this group and I am so excited to be a part of it. Looking forward to the next steps but enjoying these right now.

I can't wait to see what kind of comfort this website is going to bring for those suffering with a life threatening illness. I am looking forward to the way this ministry is going to give hope to those without it.

If you have a facebook or blog and could write about the launch of the website that would be great. We really want to spread the word as quick as possible about www.anthemofhope.com

Thanks everyone for your prayers and support as this ministry has taken shape and done a great work in my life. I know with confidence that it is going to impact the lives of others as well.

Love to hear your thoughts about the site!

On The Run...

I can't believe I have not written in over a week! Things are moving so fast around here. However, as I write this blog the sun is shinning and it is suppose to be 60 in Detroit today! That alone is exciting news but I have other exciting news...

On April 1 Anthem of Hope is launching the website for our new nonprofit. It is going to be great and I can't wait to see it live. The team is looking forward to these steps and paths God is bringing us down.

It really makes me think...I am blown away by how God blesses us and takes us places we never imagined possible. I am so blessed by His endless love for me! Just being a part of AoH has changed my life in so many ways. God is moving and I am so glad to be a part of it :)

Boot Camp

Today I am writing you sore and completely rethinking this excise experience. In a few short minutes I am off to my third day in a row of a four hour training session of vigorous exercise! I am so sore that even typing this hurts. However, it is well worth it. The results and the change in my health make it all worth it. Thank God this training program is only one weekend a month. I don't think I could do this all the time.

This program has made me think though. Made me realize that I can do things that I put my mind to. Sometimes I make excuses for stuff and tell myself I can't do it but after this weekend I realize I can. I can be a crazy exercise junky. I can juggle a great job at Crain's and work on AoH.

These last few weeks have been hard for me. Trying to juggle work and AoH. I am having a hard time finding a balance. Plus I have been bad at staying focused on the goal for Anthem of Hope. I loose sight of things. Get sidetracked with my day to day activities. But I am working on them and trying to overcome what I tell myself about being too busy and being on medicine that doesn't allow me to stay focused!

Off to the Gym...

The Juggling Act

Well, I just feel out of sorts! So much to do and no time to do it of course. I have three events coming up in the next three weeks and working with Anthem of Hope and MEP I am a busy gal. However, sometimes I just need time to breath. I am running thin and running all over the place. I am at the point where something is going to fall apart.

I use to like stress but lately things have changed. I am calmer and don't need to spend all my time planning my life out. It is nice to just take time for me which has not happened in a while. It doesn't help that the meds I am on are still making me tired and out of it not allowing me to think straight really. The meds are not allowing me to do my job to the fullest that is for sure!

Today's Blessing Report: In all of it though God is still Good! He is still faithful. I just need to slow down and start trusting Him!

All for a Reason

As most of you know I work with an organization called Anthem of Hope. This organization is dear to my heart to help those with chronic or terminal illness find hope in a hopeless time. Well, recently I have been having some headaches and black outs of my own. They believe my spinal fluid is elevated again. It has been a good run so far, I have been free of pain or symptoms for five years. Now the docs are going to try medication to regulate my spinal fluid.

The last couple days have been very discouraging. Not being able to find out the cause of the fluid after a ton of tests. I have not been in the greatest of spirits. However, today I have come to a realization, with the help of my boss. I am starting to learn that you can not give what you don't have. And my desire is to help others who are struggling with illness.

Well, my perspective is changing to joy in the middle of this situation. I am not happy that all this stuff is happening but I am OK with going through it because my experiences will only help others someday in the future, I am sure of it. In the middle of this trial I chose to have hope. Hope that someday God will use me to reach out to others in similar situations! Because of these experiences I will in turn have empathy for the next person. And that brings me great joy in the middle of this trial :)

Today's Blessing Report: I am so thankful for my boss, Irma! She inspires me everyday :)

Random Thoughts...

Man, it has been a while since I have written! Lots going on around here. I am so excited to report that Anthem of Hope is taking huge strides this week! The website is coming along nice and we have a new filler till it is complete in March. Check it out at www.anthemofhope.com We have also hired some voices for the first disc and looking into actors! On a marketing note I have connected with some great people and am so excited about that too! Thanks so much for all of your prayers as this project moves forward.

On another note...Please continue to pray for Emma. She is doing OK but has been in the hospital this week with a pretty serious infection in her respirator! Emma is the girl who is I talk with via email. If you could continue to pray that would be great!

Have a great weekend!
