So Many Things...

I am writing this blog at 4:25 a.m. What the heck?? On my way to a breakfast event in Birmingham and then from there another event in Detroit. Today is packed to the gills with things to do! Friday could not come fast enough! 

Life has been so crazy I can't believe it has been a month since I wrote a blog. Lately, though busy, life has been awesome! At work I have a secret present leaver...Yes every week I get a cute little present of sorts left on my desk. This has been going on since Easter. It is the best feeling ever! I really want to know who is showing me this kindness and at the same time the mystery is so fun too. Every week when I get a little something it makes me feel so special! 

As always this random act of kindness got me thinking about myself and my life. How so often we miss the small things in life. The good things and seem to focus on the hard, bad things over and over again! At least I do. So often we miss all the little blessings God has for us. 

I also think about how I want to be that act of kindness that brightens someones day. I don't want to forget about people and their needs in the middle of my crazy life. So often I have so many tasks that sometimes I don't take time to be flexible and spend a few extra minutes with someone. 

I need to work on my random acts of kindness :)

On The Run...

I can't believe I have not written in over a week! Things are moving so fast around here. However, as I write this blog the sun is shinning and it is suppose to be 60 in Detroit today! That alone is exciting news but I have other exciting news...

On April 1 Anthem of Hope is launching the website for our new nonprofit. It is going to be great and I can't wait to see it live. The team is looking forward to these steps and paths God is bringing us down.

It really makes me think...I am blown away by how God blesses us and takes us places we never imagined possible. I am so blessed by His endless love for me! Just being a part of AoH has changed my life in so many ways. God is moving and I am so glad to be a part of it :)

I Choose to Sing Hallelujah!

Lately I have been listening to a lot of Bethany Dillon and her accoustic session. God is really meeting me there. But there is one song in particular that overwhelms me with emotion and meets me right where I am at tonight. Part of the song says this...

That is my cry, as I face the trials ahead, that I without a shadow of a doubt will sing hallelujah. I am so thankful for all God is doing in my life right now. His light is shinning down on me. As some of you know, I have a pseudo tumor, which is elevated spinal fluid. Well I just found out that the shunt that controls the spinal fluid is not working properly. But no matter what is in front of me I will choose to sing hallelujah!
