The Challenge Completed...

A few weeks back I wrote about being challenged to go out to dinner by myself . Well, last night I did it. I went to this little diner by my house called Pete's Place. It was nice. I brought some work that I needed to catch up on. I felt like everyone was starring at me but in reality no one was!

It was good until I left. Then not so great. It just made me sad. Sad that I have to think about going to restaurants alone. Sad that life seems to not work out the way we think it is going to. It was a downer evening. I needed to remind myself that if I wanted to go out with people I have plenty of people who would hang with me and I know I am not alone. Still made me think about my current situation though!

I am going to get back up, brush myself off and do it again though. It was fun to people watch and such. Thanks for all the encouraging thoughts about it!

You reminded me of Caeden when you said you felt like everyone was watching you. When we went to his friends Halloween party last week the whole way in the car (all dressed up in his vampire outfit) he had a huge smile on his face as we are driving 40 miles an hour with no cars near us and he's says "mom everybody is staring at me". Not one person could have seen him in the back seat of a tinted minivan. So in short I'm sure you were just fine. And you are right you did not have to go alone you have tons of people who are able to hang out.

Cross it off your list. You did it. Feel good about it. Celebrate. Now you don't have to do it again. Next time call a friend (like me!) and we can dine together!

So, I was just reading your profile. You know, being a stalker like Laura :) and i noticed you listed the Twilight series. I was so excited to see that!

I got hooked this summer on vacation. I'm a little obsessed. I got Brittany hooked on them too. Maybe we can all go see the movie together in November and have in depth conversations about the book :)

Yeah, I geeked out a little bit there, sorry =)
