Road Kill

This weekend I got to visit one of my dearest friends. She was in Michigan visiting family and I drove over to South Haven to visit. I will give you more details on that trip soon but I wanted to talk about the gross road kill.

Deers abound! It was nasty both on the way over and back. It was the worse I have ever seen. There was so much road kill I was scared for my life and praying that nothing would come out and attach me. About every 200 feet there was another deer beheaded or bloody on the side of the road. At one place there was two deer smeared across the highway as a fresh kill. I had to drive my new car right through it. Nasty!

Who picks this stuff up and I pray for those people who have that job!

I am so afraid of hitting a deer. They can do some major damage. My parents live on a nature preserve in Commerce that they built a highway through. It is a mess. There are always dead deer laying in their pond because deer run for water when they are injured. It's really sad.
