Living a Life of Typos

Today at work was stressful. I learned that I had missed a pretty big typo on an Event Invite. It was from working on to many things at once and not taking time and paying attention to the details.

That got me thinking about my life. So many times in life I try to cram as much stuff into a day or week or weekend as I can that I miss the details. I forget to enjoy the sunny day or the smell of the air as it starts to change to fall here in Michigan. I miss the precious time just hanging out with family and friends. So much of my time is driven by how much I can accomplish in a day. But where has that got me? Lately, I have been doing better at setting boundries and just taking time to understand myself, my likes and dislikes and who I am. Sometimes I think we need to reflect on what really matters to us and let the rest go. Sometimes we need to realize that our value and selfworth does not come from how much we accomplished but how we used the time we were given.

If you looked at your life right now are you using the time you are given wisely? Are you happy with how your day is going? Do you have time or allow time to pay attention to the details of life? I know for me I am going to be committed to looking at the details. To only do as much as I can without over doing it.

I want to do things that are going to make a difference. I want to do things that are going to matter for eternity. I want to pay attention to the details of life and come along side someone who maybe needs a hug. I want to notice if someone needs to talk. I want to start paying attention to people and making my life count.

I am going to take time for the details and try not to let the typos slip by!
